Wear Scriptures Blog
My name is Dionne Cameron and I am the creator of Wear Scriptures. I got saved in 2006 in a radical way. I had an encounter with God. I was formerly baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness, but I wasn’t practicing any more. I disassociated myself from the Jehovah’s Witnesses religion, because I felt that I had to be perfect and I was constantly missing the mark. However, I still held onto the belief that Jesus was not God. I believed that Jesus was God’s Son and He was a perfect man, but he wasn’t God. You see Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t believe in the Trinity. Jehovah’s Witnesses use the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures version of the Bible. You might never have heard of it, because it is their own version of the Bible. In John 1:1, the New World Translation states, “In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.”
In 2005-2006, I began visiting different churches trying to find God. At the time I thought I was seeking God, but He was the One seeking after me. Then I had a dream that I was the first one sitting in a pew and this woman comes and gives me a glass of water. I am hungry and thirsty to drink the water, but she said no, pass it to the others, and when I look, I see all these people on the other side of me and they all had grey on them and they were lifeless. At the time, I didn’t understand the dream, because I wasn’t sealed with the HS. I was not born again or born of the Spirit, or born from above.
Soon after the dream I got saved in a radical way. All hell broke loose in my life and I came under severe distress. A family member encouraged me to call the Pastor of the church that I was attending and I did. I informed him of the severe distress that I was under. And he asked me a question. He said, “Dionne tell me about your salvation.” I was confused. I didn’t understand what he was asking. I had heard him at the end of the service, the first time I attended the church ask if anyone wanted to receive Jesus Christ, he or she should raise his or her hand. But I figured I didn’t need to. I was already baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness and I was good with God already. But that night he challenged me once more about my salvation. And I just found myself blurting out, “Well Pastor, I don’t believe that Jesus is God.” But the Pastor said, “Jesus Christ is God and until you believe that, you won’t get saved and you won’t get rid of the problem that you are having.” As soon as he said that, I got the revelation that a perfect man could not be healing the sick and raising the dead. The Pastor encouraged me to call him if I needed any more help. When he got off the phone, I went right back into disbelief. And in my bed that night, I kept tossing and turning, wondering how could Jesus Christ be God. Then I finally surrendered. I said in my mind, not my mouth, “Jesus Christ, if you are God, please help me to believe, because I can’t believe.”
I suddenly heard the sound of a breath, “whoo” and I shouted out I believe with both of my hands raised up high. God breathed on me and gave me new life. Then I prayed and received Jesus Christ as my LORD and Savior. I had a Damascus experience. Then God led me to complete Bible School and I was ordained as an Evangelist. Since then God has placed a great desire in my heart for the salvation of souls.
When God first gave me the idea of Wear Scriptures last year, I wasn’t quite sure what the focus would be. But as I stepped out in faith and started planning, God began to give me the Scriptures. I began the business in January of this year. The first design was “Whom Shall I Fear?” Psalm 27:1 with the face of a lion. The idea of the lion was because when I was a new Christian, God had given me a dream of me as a lioness, but I was afraid of fulfilling my call. I saw this lioness in a cage and every time I tried to keep her locked up, she would get out. I was afraid of God working in me, for me and through me. But I sought the LORD and He delivered me from all my fears. The righteous are as bold as a lion.”
The second Scripture God gave me was Deuteronomy 30:19, Choose Life. Now several years earlier, God had given me a dream that I had a new baby. I thought that I was going to literally have another baby, but God showed me that He was going to give my children and I a new life. When I created the Choose Life Collection, I was still thinking evangelism. How does one Choose Life? You choose Life by choosing to receive Jesus as your Lord and your Savior. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. It is a choice. One either chooses him or not. No one, or the enemy can take away your power to choose. Several years God showed me in a dream that an individual had a certain choice to make. The person was at a cross roads. On one side there were others calling him to come their way and I was on the other side of the person pleading Choose Life. So that was my intention of creating the Choose Life design. And then right after, the Abortion controversy with New York and several other states making abortion legal all the way up to term broke out. And then I understood what God was doing. It all tied in. God is calling people to both Choose Life by choosing Jesus and to choose life for a baby in the womb. I know we can deceive ourselves by saying a fetus is not a real person, but God, the Creator says it’s a human being. The Psalmist David said in Psalm 139:13, “You did form my inward parts, You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.” A baby in the womb is made in the image of God and is a real human being.
Now I am not judging women who have had abortions. Because abortion is legal, many women have been sold the lie that a fetus is not a real human being. God still loves them and He is calling them to Choose Life, to Choose to receive His Son Jesus Christ, so that their sins can be covered under His blood that was shed for them. Acts 3:19 says repent or change your mind on how you see things. Look from God’s point of view. Turn to God so that your sins can be forgiven and times of refreshing may come.
The third Scripture God gave me was Revelation 19:16, A King is Coming. Jesus Christ is coming back to earth soon as the Conquering King. No one knows the day or the hour, but we can see the times that we are living in. Psalm 2 encourages the kings and rulers of the earth to act wisely, to be instructed and warned, to make the right choice and Choose Life, Choose Jesus. Psalm 2:12 says, “Kiss the Son (pay homage to Him in purity), lest he be angry and you perish in the way, for soon shall His wrath be kindled. O blessed are all those who seek refuge and put their trust in Him.”
God is calling everyone on the face of the earth to “Choose Life” to “Choose Jesus.” Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Hebrews 9:22 says, “without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.” Jesus died for the sins of mankind. He is our High Priest. He is the only mediator between God and man. Romans 3:23 says, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the only way to escape being found guilty of sin, it is the only way that we human beings can escape being judged guilty by God when we face Him when we die or on Judgement Day. Hebrews 9:27-28 says, “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgement, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many.” Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Wear Scriptures, is not only a business, but a Ministry. All the designs carry the theme of Evangelism and are pointing to Jesus. God wants Christians to stand up boldly for truth and righteousness in the season that we are living in. God also wants Christians to obey Him and fulfill the Great Commission. In Matthew 28, right before He ascended to heaven, Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of people of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” God is making an Urgent call to His people. The time is short; go and snatch the people who are not saved, the ones who are in darkness, before they enter into eternity, before it is too late. God does not want anyone to perish, but all to come to eternity. If there is a heaven, there is also a hell. There is a war raging in the heavens for the souls of men. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish nor come to destruction nor be lost, nor to be eternally separated from God, their Creator but to have eternal or everlasting life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge or condemn, or reject or to pass sentence on the world, but that the world might find salvation through Him.”
I encourage you, begin to pray for souls. Ask God to give you a heart for the lost and for him to lead you in love to those around you.
